Yesterday the some of the KNFOLK crew (99, Pierce, Karma Police, L'After) spent some time in the studio working on the upcoming KNFOLK compilation. We were joined by a ridiculously good hip-hop producer Illangelo. This guy is crazy, both musically, and... well, musically. Check out some of his stuff. Don't tell him I said he was a hip-hop producer, he'd probably shoot me in the leg because I am actually wrong. He's not a hip-hop producer, he's something different. I can't explain what style he's doing because a lot of it hasn't been done yet, so check it out. Carlo Montagnese/Illangelo

So Fresh and So Clean

I came across this video the other day and thought it was amazing and hilarious. It's Chromeo afterschool special style. Watching this video gives me flashbacks of my childhood, in my PJs with a bowl of cereal perched up by the TV watching my favourite childrens programs. Here are two songs from my youth that bring back fond memories.

The first in the theme to the Reading Rainbow written by Steve Horelick, Dennis Neil Kleinman, and Janet Weir and sung by Tina Fabrique.

The second is part of an animated series that ran on Sesame Street. I love the animation in this clip. It was directed by Canadian animator Jeff Hale and the song was provided by The Pointer Sisters.
